WHAT IS ICF?
Insulated Concrete Forms (ICFs) are used in the construction of poured concrete walls. They are high density expanded polystyrene foam blocks (like large Legos) that are stacked up, braced and serve as a form to pour the concrete in. Then, they stay in place for the life of the structure and serve as high performing insulation. In addition, there are thousands of ties in the foam, that provide attachments for drywall, siding and necessary trim. ICF construction combines what would be multiple steps in conventional wood framing (framing, insulating, weather barrier), into one step – saving you time and money.

There are a lot of reasons to build with ICF. By paying just a little more up front (we’ve even done projects where ICF is less expensive than traditional wood framing), you’ll get all these benefits and save thousands of dollars per year.
